Track and View Changes
To track the changes made by collaborators in Zoho Writer, the contract owner must enable the Track Changes option in the document editor.
To track the changes made to a contract document created using an MS Word template, enable the Track Changes option in MS Word.
There are two ways to enable this option:
- Click Enable Track Changes on the success message alert that pops up when you add a collaborator.
- Turn on the Track Changes switch button on the toolbar at the top of the document editor when in Review mode or on the status bar of the document editor.

When you have the track changes option enabled, the changes made in the document by the collaborators will be displayed as redlining. Please refer to the screenshot below.

You can also view all the changes made by the collaborators in the Changes panel on the right when in Review mode. This helps you access each change quickly.
To view the Changes panel:
- Select Review mode at the top of the document editor.

- Select the Changes panel on the right.
Enable Track Changes in MS Word
Select the Contracts tab at the top of the page.
Click the name of the view at the top-left corner of the contracts list page, then select the Shared With Me view from the dropdown menu.
Click to open the contract that you want to enable track changes.
Click Edit in MS Word at the top, then enable Track Changes under the Review section.
Accept or Reject Changes
To accept or reject the changes made by the collaborators, click the redlined text in the contract document, then click Accept or Reject
.
Note: For contracts created from an MS Word template, you can accept or reject changes directly in MS Word.
Tip:
You can also accept or reject the changes from the Changes panel when in Review mode.
To accept or reject a change:
- Select Review mode at the top of the document editor.
- Select the Changes panel on the right. A list of all the changes made by the collaborators will be displayed.
- Hover the mouse pointer over the change that you want to accept or reject, then click Accept or Reject.

Note: Only the contract owner can accept or reject the changes made to the contract document by collaborators.
- Select the Contracts tab at the top of the page.
- Click to open the contract you want to view and reply to comments in.
- Select Review mode at the top of the document editor.
- Select the Comments panel on the right.
- Click a comment, then add your reply in the Reply field.
Note:
- When in Compose mode, clicking on the commented text will display the comment in a pop-up.
- For contracts created from an MS Word template, you can view and reply to comments directly in MS Word.
