Manage the Capturing of Location Data by Forms

Location is considered personal data. It will be captured only when your users consent. Refer to understand capturing location to learn more.

You can manage capturing location data as follows:

• Enable capturing location data
• Disable capturing location data, and delete the collected location data

Enable Capturing Location Data

1. Open the form builder.
2. Click the Properties icon in the top-right corner of the form builder, as shown below. The Form Properties pane will appear on the right.
   
   

3. Navigate to the Form Properties > Location Data section.
4. Check the checkbox next to Capture Location 
   
   
   Upon checking this, you will be prompted:
   

   

5. Click I understand, Proceed.
   
6. In the live mode of the application, the location of the user will be captured on form submission with their consent.
   

Note: A subform for which Capture location is enabled can be added to a main form. But when the main form is submitted, the location will not be captured for the subform unless it is also enabled for the main form.

Disable Capturing Location Data, and Delete the Collected Location Data

1. Open the form builder.
2. Click the Properties icon in the top-right corner of the form builder, as shown below. The Form Properties pane will appear on the right.
   

   

3. Navigate to the Form Properties > Location Data section.
4. Uncheck the checkbox next to Capture location. You will be prompted:
