Manage the Capturing of Location Data by Forms
You can manage capturing location data as follows:
- Enable capturing location data
- Disable capturing location data, and delete the collected location data
Enable Capturing Location Data
- Open the form builder.
- Click the Properties icon in the top-right corner of the form builder, as shown below. The Form Properties pane will appear on the right.
- Navigate to the Form Properties > Location Data section.
- Check the checkbox next to Capture LocationUpon checking this, you will be prompted:

- Click I understand, Proceed.
- In the live mode of the application, the location of the user will be captured on form submission with their consent.
Note: A subform for which Capture location is enabled can be added to a main form. But when the main form is submitted, the location will not be captured for the subform unless it is also enabled for the main form.Adding captured location into a report
- Navigate to the required report in the Edit mode of the application. Select the device you want to edit.
- Click Configure Fields for the selected device.
- A pane will slide in from the right, showing all the fields displayed to users. Select Add Fields.
- Under System Fields, choose Added Location.
Close the pane and the changes will be saved automatically. Going forward, the added location field will be visible whenever you access the report.
Disable Capturing Location Data, and Delete the Collected Location Data
- Open the form builder.
- Click the Properties icon in the top-right corner of the form builder, as shown below. The Form Properties pane will appear on the right.

- Navigate to the Form Properties > Location Data section.
- Uncheck the checkbox next to Capture location. You will be prompted:

- Click Disable.
