Creator enables you to save these panel configurations using built-in presets. Presets are saved configurations of your panel's display value (aggregates), that can be reused across forms and all other apps in your Creator account.

Things to know

• Presets can be created and edited by users with edit permission enabled.
• Presets created in an app can be used by users provided they have the required edit permission.
• Presets will be exported in the DS file of your app. Refer here to know about exporting your app as a DS file.

Example

Imagine you've created an application called Order Management. In this application, you have designed a page titled Dashboard that displays the total amount earned from all the orders fulfilled on a particular day.

This page has a panel that displays the total amount for a day and you have configured it to calculate the "sum" of all the total amount fields present in your Order Details form. You can now save and reuse this panel configuration as a preset. Refer here to learn how to create a preset.

Create a preset

1. Navigate to the Edit mode of your app and open the page where you want to create the preset.
2. If you are creating a panel for the first time:
   • Click the Panel tab from the page builder menu on the left side.
   • Scroll to view and select a panel from the pre-built panel templates.
     
     
   • Drag and drop the panel onto the page builder area. The panel builder will open.
3. In case you are editing an existing panel, click to select the panel and click Configure at the top of the page builder.
   
   
4. In the slider menu on the right, select the Display tab and click the required aggregate operation under Zoho Creator.
5. Select a form to perform the chosen aggregate operation. You can select a form from the current app you are working on or another app. To choose a form from another app, click Change App at the bottom of the select form card. Choose the app name and click Done. Forms from the selected app will be listed here.
6. Select a form field to perform the chosen aggregate operation based on the values in that field.
7. Under Criteria, click Selected records to add criteria for fields to perform the chosen aggregate operation. By default, this will be calculated for All records.
8. Under Built-in preset, click Create preset.
   
   
9. Enter a name for your preset and click Create. The preset will be created and available under the Built-in Presets section under Display.
   
   

Use a built-in preset

1. Navigate to the Edit mode of your app and open the page where you want to create the preset.
2. If you are creating a panel for the first time:
   • Click the Panel tab from the page builder menu on the left side.
   • Scroll to view and select a panel from the pre-built panel templates.
   • Drag and drop the panel onto the page builder area. The panel builder will open.
3. In case you are editing an existing panel, click to select the panel and click Configure at the top of the page builder.
4. In the slider menu on the right, select the Display tab.
5. Click Built-in Presets under the Presets section and select the required preset from any form in your current app. The presets in your account will be displayed form-wise. 
   
   
6. To choose a preset from a form in another app, click Change App at the bottom of the Select Preset card. Choose the app name and click Done. Forms from the selected app will be listed here.
   
   
7. The chosen preset will be displayed under Preset Details. Click the edit icon to edit your preset.
   
   
8. Click Proceed in the Edit Preset popup.
9. After making the required changes, click Save.
   Note: You cannot change the function while editing a preset.
10. Click the delete icon beside Preset Details to delete your preset.
11. Click Delete in the Confirm Delete popup.
