The Fold Content property for list and spreadsheet-type reports helps you control the display of lengthy field data in rich text and multiline fields if the content exceeds 250 characters. In list and spreadsheet-type reports, this property can be enabled in both quick view and detail view. For other report types, it is applicable only in detail view. Truncating the content ensures that only the relevant portions are visible, making the reports more streamlined and easier to scan. Once this property is enabled, your users can interact with it by expanding the data in the field through the Show More option or collapsing it using the Show Less option, available in both quick and detailed views of these reports(in live mode).

The following steps help to enable the fold content property,

1. Navigate to the Design tab in the edit mode of the application after choosing the required report.

2. Choose the type of view required for the report (quick view or detail view), then select its layout. Hover in the center and click the Configure Fields for Web button. The Configure Fields pane will appear.

3. You can enable the property in the following steps depending upon the chosen report view,

           i. Select a rich text or multiline field from the fields section to enable fold content property for it. The Configure Fields pane appears with the list of all the fields in the report.
            

            ii. Toggle the Enable button beside the Fold Content property.
            

      b. For detail view - 

            i. Select a rich text or multiline field in the Configure Fields pane.

            ii. Click the Fold Content dropdown present on the top of the window and choose Enable.

            

Upon accessing the application live, your users can see the Show Less option reflected in the report for rich text and multiline fields with lengthier input. They can click it to truncate the displayed content and click on Show More to view the entire content.
