What are form drafts and how are they useful?
Drafts allow users to automatically retain their progress for a set amount of time before they are deleted. This means that if users are unable to complete a form or need to switch devices, they won't have to start from scratch the next time they open the form. They can review the draft, make changes as needed, and then submit the form.
The Save as Draft option not only saves time for your users, but also reduces the danger or consequence of inadvertent data loss.
Who can configure and manage form drafts in Zoho Creator?
The Save as Draft option can be configured by super admins, admins, and developers, while all other users can create and manage their drafts.
What should my users do with the form drafts feature?
While filling out the form, they will see a Save as Draft button. Clicking on it will save the progress they have made up to that point.
The View Drafts option displays a list of saved drafts. Click on the required draft to continue editing, then submit the form.
How do I enable saving forms as drafts?
To enable the Save as Draft option, navigate to the edit mode of your app, select the desired form, open its form builder, go to Form Properties, and tick the checkbox next to "Enable users to save as draft and resume editing later."

How do I save and access my form drafts?
When your form is live, your users can access it, fill it out, and save it as a draft by clicking the Save as Draft button. Your form will be saved as a draft, which users can access later. They can resume editing the draft form from where they left off.
Users can view saved draft for a form by clicking the View Drafts button next to the form name.
How many days are the drafts saved for?
The drafts are saved for 15 days after which they will be deleted automatically.
Why can't I view the draft I saved earlier?
In case you have saved the draft more than 15 days ago, the drafts might have been deleted automatically.
How many drafts can I save of the same form?
You can save up to three drafts for a form.
What happens if I want to save a new draft after already having three saved drafts?
You will have to delete one of the saved drafts in order to add a new one after having three drafts.
What should I do if I notice outdated values in integration fields while submitting a record using a saved draft?
Users can either modify the value referred to in the draft in the respective connected service or delete the record from their Creator application to correct them.
Why isn't my image reflecting in the preview of draft form?
Images and files won't be available to view in the preview of a draft form, but they will be saved as a record of the form properly.
How can I view my saved drafts for a specific form?
You can view your saved drafts by clicking the View Drafts button next to the form name. The drafts pane will display all saved drafts for that form.

What happens to the existing drafts if I make changes to a form or field properties?
If you make changes to a form, such as disabling the Save Draft property or modifying field properties, all existing drafts for that form will be deleted.
Can I delete a draft if I no longer need it?
Yes, you can delete a draft by hovering over its preview card and clicking the delete icon.
What is the Drafts pane and how does it work?
The Drafts pane displays all your saved drafts as preview cards. You can click on a draft to open and edit it.
Are draft data backed up during application backup and restore?
No, draft data is currently not available currently during application backup and restore.
Can I save drafts for all types of forms in Zoho Creator?
Drafts can be saved for most form types, but not for stateless forms, public forms, embedded forms, pop-up forms, and offline-capable forms.
What happens if I have configured form workflows for my form?
Form workflows configured for "on-load" or "on user input" events will not be executed when opening a draft form. However, "on validate" or "on success" deluge scripts will be executed upon submitting a draft.
Is the Save as Draft option available for environment enabled apps?
Yes, but the option is available only in the production environment.
Can I view media fields previews while editing a draft?
No, you cannot view media fields previews while editing a draft.
Can I switch between drafts for the same form?
Yes, you can switch between drafts by selecting them from the Drafts pane.
Can I recover drafts based on their last saved date and time?
Yes, drafts can be recovered based on their last saved date and time, allowing you to continue where you left off when you open the draft. The data you filled stays untouched, and you can complete the form and submit it at your pace.
How does Zoho Creator ensure data privacy when managing drafts?
Zoho Creator ensures data privacy by allowing users to access and manage only their own drafts, and automatically deleting drafts after 15 days.
The drafts will not accessible to anyone else other than the user including admins and super admin.
Can I access my saved drafts when using code-signed apps, customer portal apps, or PWAs on mobile devices?
Yes, drafts saved in web browsers will be available on mobile and tablet devices, including code-signed apps, customer portal apps, and PWAs.
Can I access saved drafts on multiple devices?
Yes, drafts saved in web browsers are automatically available on both mobile and tablet devices, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.
