Modules in this application
This application typically provides a user interface that allows you to manage all the courses you offer, store details of your students and tutors, see who's in charge of which course, and follow course payments until they're credited.
Dashboard
The extensive dashboard page consolidates data from different app components and displays an overview of the students enrolled, tutors available, courses open, payments received, and more. With a built-in graph displaying net revenue earned over time, you can conveniently keep track of money coming in from each course you offer. You can also track the students enrolled in each of your courses.
Users module
This module enables you to add details of students and tutors, such as personal, contact, educational, and employment information. It serves as the unified database that enables you to keep track of your active students and tutors.
Based on the user type chosen (student or tutor), the application will be shared with the respective permissions configured.
Courses module
This module can be accessed by admins and tutors.
This module acts as a central repository where you can add and update the courses you offer including their code, category, type (free/paid), start and end dates, and much more. After adding the course details, you can proceed to upload the required course materials. This allows for efficient retrieval of course information in one place. You can also limit the participants per course and assign tutors to courses.
Course materials module
This module can be accessed by admins and tutors.
This module enables you to maintain a database of your course materials. You can perform the following:
- Select the courses and upload the relevant materials along with the tutors' notes
- Add multiple topics related to a particular course and assign them to a section
- View and update the course materials as and when required
Tutoring Requests module
This module can be accessed by tutors to submit tutoring requests for the open courses that you offer. These requests will then be approved/rejected by the application admin.
Course Payments module
This module can be accessed by super-admin, admins, and students (to view their respective course payments).
This module streamlines payments and helps eliminate the confusion of pending payments and missed dues. Upon registering for paid courses, students will be redirected to payment gateways. This way you can keep tabs on fees paid with detailed reports and manage alerts and notifications for successful payments or payment failures, push payment statuses to other reports, and more on the fly.
Tutors profile
This module can be accessed by admins and tutors.
This module enables tutors to view the list of open courses that are available and the ones they had applied for. They can also submit requests for such courses and after approval by the admin, tutors can check their applied courses in the My Courses report. Tutors can also view their personal details, a list of their ongoing courses, and their successful course payments in their personalized portal.
Students profile
This module cab be accessed by only students.
Students can subscribe to and access the available courses in this module. They will be redirected to the Course Subscription form for confirmation of the selected course. Upon successful confirmation, they will be further redirected to the payment form in case of a paid course. Students can also view their personal details, a list of their ongoing courses, and their successful course payments in their personalized portal.
Install the application
You can install the app from three locations:

Installing the application from Zoho Marketplace is easy! Once you install it, the app can be set up and ready to use. You can explore the modules in the app, tweak the app to accommodate use cases specific to your business, and add, modify, and view data.
You can also add users and define roles and permissions, such as add, modify, delete, and view data, and map users to the permissions defined, allowing them limited or full access to your app.
- Go to Zoho Marketplace.
- Scroll down to the Zoho Creator section and click View All.
- Select the Course Planner card and click Install.
The application will be installed on your device and you'll be ready to go!
Application Setup
This comprehensive course planner application enables you to manage all your course management needs. You can organize course information, provides access to course content, manage student enrolment, see who's in charge of which course and follow payments until they're credited. After installing the application, admin/super-admin can perform the following actions.
Step 1: Navigate to the Users section - Access the Enroll User form and add the details of your students and tutors.
- View and modify the details in the respective reports.
- The details of active tutors can be viewed in the Active Tutors reports.
- The details of active students can be viewed in the Active Students reports.
- As an admin, you can view the list of both students and tutors in the All Users report.
Step 2: Navigate to the Courses section 1. Access the Add Course form and enter your course details such as name, type, category, tutors, and so on.
Upon form submission, you'll be taken to the Add Course Material form in the Course Materials module.
2. View the status of courses, upcoming, ongoing, and completed, in the respective reports.
1. Access the Add Course Material form, select the course and upload materials for multiple topics.
You can also access the Add Topic form and add the required topics. They will be available to select as a dropdown in the Add Course Material form.
2. View and manage your materials in the All Course Materials report.
Your app is now all set for use!
Students and tutors can now access your application and do the following.
- Students can access their Student profile and apply for courses, view their ongoing courses, and much more.
- Tutors can access their Tutor profile and view their open courses, tutoring requests, and much more.
Automation
The app is fully equipped with automations to monitor and manage your courses efficiently and effortlessly. The workflows in the app are used to hide/show and enable/disable certain fields in the forms, trigger emails upon receiving tutoring requests, automatically change the status of courses, redirect to another form upon a form's submission, share/un-share forms and reports, and more.
Sharing your application
You can share this app with
users at your organization, defining
roles and
permissions so that users with specific roles have specific levels of access to the components of the app.

If you wish to uninstall this application, you can do the following.
1. Navigate to
Solutions and click the
Course Planner application.
2. Hover over the card and click the ellipsis icon (three dots).
3. Click Delete.
