At Zoho Creator, we recognize the importance of Hébergeur de Données de Santé (HDS) certification, which is required for entities hosting personal health data governed by French laws. The HDS regulation, issued by ASIP SANTÉ under the French Ministry of Health, promotes electronic healthcare solutions in France. It mandates that healthcare organizations and service providers handling personal medical data use an HDS-certified service provider. HDS certification aims to strengthen the security and protection of personal health data, including but not limited to, implementation of robust security measures, authentication procedures, backup systems, and encryption methods.

 

      Achieving the HDS certification for Zoho Creator demonstrates its compliance with stringent security and privacy standards for hosting and managing personal healthcare data. Zoho Creator is working with an independent third-party certifying body that has obtained accreditation from the COFRAC (French Committee for Accreditation) to achieve the certification.

 

      We are happy to announce that Zoho Creator has successfully completed the Stage 1 Audit for HDS certification in the month of April' 23. This was a significant milestone in our journey towards achieving HDS certification. The certifying body verified whether Zoho Creator meets the requirements of the certification reference system and the audit was concluded successfully without any major findings. We have now diligently addressed the requirements outlined in the documentation audit, ensuring that our systems and processes align with the standards for handling health personal data.

 

      The next phase of the certification process, Phase-II, is the on-site audit which is scheduled for July 2023. During this audit, our systems, facilities, and implementation practices will be rigorously assessed to ensure they meet the stringent requirements for HDS certification.

 

      Upon successful completion of the Phase-II audit, we anticipate becoming a certified host before the end of August. HDS certification enables healthcare providers in France to use Zoho Creator, for developing innovative, cutting-edge healthcare solutions and host their personal medical data on our low code application platform with confidence.

 

French Public Health code requires the execution of specific contractual terms between the health data hosting service or cloud service provider and its customers.
