SMS Misr for Zoho CRM

SMS messages enable direct communication with consumers, and SMS marketing is an efficient approach for the sales, marketing, and support teams to engage with consumers. SMS Misr is an SMS and mobile advertising firm offering location based services to customers in Egypt and the surrounding Middle Eastern region. By integrating the SMS Misr extension with Zoho CRM, you can promote your businesses by sending SMS marketing and location based advertising messages to the leads and contacts in your Zoho CRM account. The SMS Misr extension is provisioned to send both individual and bulk SMS messages. Additionally, you can create SMS templates from within Zoho CRM.

When you install this extension, the following web tabs will be added to Zoho CRM.
  1. SMS Misr Template - A custom module that lists all the SMS templates created.
  2. SMS Misr Messages - A custom module that lists every message sent to your leads and contacts from Zoho CRM.
Note:
  1. The network operators supported by SMS Misr are Vodafone, Etisalat, Orange, and We.
  2. The Mobile field of a lead or contact cannot be empty in Zoho CRM, and it must be provided with numbers from the supported region.

Installing the extension

You can install the extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account.

To install from Zoho CRM
  1. Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
    All the installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in Zoho CRM.
  2. Click All Extensions, browse for SMS Misr, and click on it.
    Details about the extension will be available.
  3. Click Continue to install.
  4. On the following screen, agree to the terms of service and click Install Now.

  5. Choose one of the following and click Confirm:
    1. Install for admin only - The extension will only be installed in CRM for users with administrator profiles.
    2. Install for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users.
    3. Choose profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM only for selected users. Choose this option, click Continue, then select the desired profiles.
      The extension will be installed automatically for the specified users.

  6. You will be redirected to the Extension Settings page.
  7. Under SMS Details, provide the Sender Token, API Username and API Password to configure your SMS Misr account with Zoho CRM.
    If you click Skip in this step, you can later configure from Setup > Marketplace > All > Installed Extensions. Search for the SMS Misr extension and click Configure.
  8. Click Save.


To obtain SMS Misr credentials required for configuration:
  1. Log in to your SMS Misr account.
  2. Click Settings on the dashboard.
  3. The API Username and API Password can be obtained from the Settings page.
  4. The Sender Token can be obtained from the below URL: https://smsmisr.com/Client/SenderID

Sending SMS messages

Using the extension, you can send SMS messages to leads or contacts individually, or to a group of leads or contacts as bulk SMS messages.

To send individual SMS messages
  1. Choose a lead or contact from the Leads or Contacts module, respectively.
  2. Click Send SMS.
    The Send SMS page will open.

  3. The Recipient field will have the lead or contact selected.
  4. Choose the required template from the Template dropdown.
    All the SMS templates created in SMS Misr will be listed here. You can also create a new template by clicking Create New.

  5. Choose your preferred language.
  6. Enter your message title.
  7. Enter the message to be sent.
  8. Click Send.
To send bulk SMS messages
  1. Choose the list of leads or contacts from the Leads or Contacts module, respectively.
  2. Click Send SMS.
    The Send SMS page will open.

  3. The From field will be auto-populated with your number.
  4. The Recipient field will have the lead or contact selected.
  5. Choose the required template from the Template dropdown.
    All the SMS templates created in SMS Misr will be listed here.

  6. Choose your preferred language.
  7. Enter your message title.
  8. Enter the message to be sent.
  9. Click Send.

Uninstalling the extension

To uninstall the extension
  1. Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > All.
    All the installed extensions will be listed.
  2. Browse for SMS Misr and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
  3. Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
