Zoho CRM's Chart View visually represents module data, providing quick insights and deeper understanding. By transforming raw data into intuitive charts, this feature improves decision-making, identifies patterns and trends, and optimizes sales strategies within your CRM modules. This eliminates the need for moving into CRM's analytics suite for simple visualization needs.
Scenario
As a marketing manager, you launched a local ad campaign at the start of the financial quarter to expand your lead sources. A few days later, you are looking to assess the impact of this campaign on lead generation.
As a marketing manager, you launched a local ad campaign at the start of the financial quarter to expand your lead sources. A few days later, you are looking to assess the impact of this campaign on lead generation.
To do this quickly and within the module view, you can:
- Switch to Chart View in the Leads module
- Group the data by lead source
- Select the time range as this financial quarter
Voila! Your lead data is now visually displayed in the Leads module. Your innovative ad campaign has already brought in almost as many leads as the costly trade show!
In other words, basic analytics can be done within your module itself now!
You can use chart view to do things like:
- Identify top performers quickly by grouping records by owners to understand the rough distribution of work. This visual representation helps track individual contributions and strategically allocate resources based on your team's strengths.
- Assess the daily subscriptions grouped by products to determine which product has the highest signups and plan next steps accordingly.
- Analyze large datasets by grouping monthly sales data by region or product to identify patterns and trends within the data.
By clicking on a segment in the chart, you can easily access the corresponding records and take actions such as sending emails, making updates, changing owners, and more.
To switch to chart view
- Select the module in the sidebar.
- Click the module views icon and select Chart View. You will now see your module data visualized as a chart!
- Use the Group By and Measure dropdowns to change categories and change the numerical value being visualized, respectively. The default grouping and measure in a module's chart view are Record owner and Record count, respectively, but these can be modified by the user. You have the option to group by two categories and include up to two measures.
- You have the option to choose the date/time field and the time frame based on which the data on the chart has to be displayed. The Created Time field will be selected by default, with the time frame set to Any time.
- Choose the most suitable chart type to effectively represent the data.We
currently support column chart, bar chart, pie chart, donut chart, area
chart, line chart, and funnel chart.
- If you wish to distribute the chart, you can select the more icon and pick from three options:
- Publish (to share the chart with all users in the organization)
- Print (to obtain a physical copy of the chart for sharing), and
- Add to Dashboard (to include it in a dashboard within the analytics tab).
Note
- The type of fields that are supported for the grouping are:
- Date,
- Date/time,
- Picklist, and
- User
- A maximum of five chart views can only be published per module.
- Users, with the Manage Chart View profile permission, can edit a published chart & re-publish it so that the changes done by them will be reflected for all the other users in the org.
- The default chart view (named 'My chart') will be accessible to all users.
- The sorting order ("Sort By") can be different for each of the five published charts.
