The Search feature in the mobile app helps you quickly find the exact record you're looking for without scrolling through multiple entries. The app supports two types of search:
- Custom Search
- Global Search
Custom search
Custom search allows users to define up to four fields as search criteria for each module. When you enter a keyword matching any of these fields, the app fetches all relevant records.
- You can choose which fields to use as search criteria.
- Custom search is the default option when there is no network connectivity.
For example, if the search criteria for the Leads module are set to Full name, Company, Account name, and Inquiry type, searching for "Zylker" will display all lead records where "Zylker" appears in any of these fields.
To set up custom search
- Navigate to your preferred module.
- Tap More options (
) > Search > Custom search
- Choose the fields for your search criteria.
Global search
Global Search scans all fields across modules without any predefined search criteria. This is useful when you're unsure which field contains the information you're looking for.
- It searches across all fields in a module.
- You can enable or disable global search as the default option for all modules.
Using the same Leads module example, If you search for "Zylker" in the Leads module, the app will find all records where "Zylker" appears in any field.
To set up global search
- Navigate to your preferred module.
- Tap More options (
) > Search > Global search
You can also set Global search as the default search option for all modules by toggling the Global search default button.
When to use custom search and global search
Use Custom Search when you know which field contains the information. For example, if you're searching for a lead named Amelia from Zylker, and you've set Company Name as a search criterion, entering "Zylker" will bring up Amelia’s record without clutter.
Use Global Search when you’re unsure where the information is stored. You can enter any keyword, and it will scan all fields across modules, pulling up all relevant records without setting criteria.
