Telephony in Zoho CRM iOS app

Zoho CRM’s built-in telephony support lets you easily make and receive calls directly from the CRM, automatically log call details, and access customer information during interactions.You can quickly look up their purchase history, review previous conversations, and more.

With telephony support in CRM, users can connect with customers with just a tap.
 

Making phone calls without a SIM card 

After setting up the built-in telephony in Zoho CRM web, you can make VoIP calls using the mobile app. This lets you call over the internet without needing a SIM card.

You can also set up an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system to create a custom call flow that guides callers through different options.

Here’s a sample IVR call flow for an education academy:

Note:  
  1. The built-in telephony configuration and call flows need to be set up in the Zoho CRM web application.
  2. The telephony number type must be Mobile when purchasing to access the feature on a mobile device.

To setup telephony as call preference

  1. Open the Zoho CRM iOS app.
  1. Tap the More icon ().
  2. Go to Settings ().
  3. Select Call Preferences under Calls.
  4. Choose Built-In Telephony as the default call option.

 

To make Telephony calls in mobile  

  1. Open the Zoho CRM iOS app.
  2. Go to your desired module.
  3. Tap the call icon () in the list view.
  4. Choose Built-In Telephony as your call preference.

  5. Alternatively, you can make telephony calls from the following places in a record
  6. Mobile number hyperlinked in the business card
  7. Call icon in the bottom bar

  8. Mobile number hyperlinked in the details page

Info: Once the call ends, the follow-up activities will be displayed on the screen. You can select the desired activity and schedule it accordingly.

Updating deals during a call 

  1. Open the Zoho CRM iOS app.
  2. Go to your desired module.
  3. Tap the call icon () in the list view or from the record.
  4. Select Built-In Telephony as your call preference (choose Just Once or Always).
  5. On the call screen > tap the open deal card.
  6. Update the deal details as needed.

Notes
Note: The call option is available in the list view for the Leads, Contacts, and Accounts modules. For other modules, the call option can be accessed within the record.
 

 Placing a call using the dial pad 

  1.  Open the Zoho CRM iOS app.
  2. Tap on the More icon ().
  3. Tap on the Dial pad icon () in the quick access menu.
  4. Enter the number and place the call.

Info: You can initiate a call even if the number is not linked to a record. If the number is already present in the CRM, its relevant details will be displayed.
