Demandbase for Zoho CRM

The Demandbase extension for Zoho CRM enhances your experience by directly integrating advanced B2B data, precise targeting, and account-based marketing (ABM) capabilities into your CRM system. With this extension, your team can seamlessly incorporate valuable ABM insights into Zoho CRM. This enables your sales and marketing teams to prioritize high-value accounts, conduct more targeted outreach, and automatically enhance your customer data—all within the familiar and user-friendly Zoho interface.

Installing the extension

You can install the Demandbase extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account as follows:
  1. Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > All. All the installed extensions will be listed.
    Click
    All Extensions to view the extensions supported by your CRM edition.
  2. Under All Extensions, browse for and click Demandbase.
    The details about the extension will be available.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Agree to the terms of service and click Continue to Install.

  5. Choose one of the following, then click Confirm:
    1. Install for admins only - The extension will only be installed in CRM for users with the administrator profile.
    2. Install for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users.
    3. Choose profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM for manually chosen users. Choose this option, click Confirm, then select the desired profiles.
      The extension will be installed automatically for the specified users.

  6. In the pop-up, enter the Client ID and Client Secret.
    Both the Client ID and Client Secret can be obtained from your
    Demandbase account.
  7. Click Save.
Notes
Note: If you skip this step, you can provide the details later from your Setup page in Zoho CRM. To do so, go to Setup > Marketplace > All. Find the Demandbase extension and click Configure.

Adding business contacts

In Demandbase, the business contacts are stored under two categories: contacts and companies. You can search for a contact or company in Demandbase right from the Zoho CRM after selecting the appropriate category.

To search for a business contact:
  1. Open the Demandbase web tab.
  2. In the drop-down, select contacts or companies based on your requirement.

  3. Enter a part of the contact name you want to search for and choose its category from the drop-down.
    A list of matching entries available in Demandbase will appear. You can either
    Add or Add & Subscribe the desired entries to Zoho CRM.

  4. Under Add, click on '▾' symbol next to Add of the desired contact.
  5. A pop-up will appear with the following options:
    1. Add - Entries searched under companies will get added to the Accounts module, whereas under contacts, it goes into the Contacts module.
    2. Add & Subscribe - The selected entries along with the subscribed fields will be added to either the contacts or accounts module in Zoho CRM, respectively.

Notes
Note: Only the subscribed fields of contacts get updated while the automatic synchronization happens. All other fields will remain unchanged.

Updating contact details

The contact details (subscribed fields) added to the Zoho CRM will be updated periodically. The contact details can also be updated manually if required as follows.
  1. Open Accounts or Contacts module.
  2. Select and open the desired contact from the list.
  3. Click Demandbase Search button in the top-right corner.

  4. In the pop-up, click the + symbol under Update of the desired contact and click Yes.

  5. In the pop-up, select the desired fields to update and click Update.

Uninstalling the extension

To uninstall the extension:
  1. Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > All. All the installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in your CRM.
  2. Browse for Demandbase and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
  3. Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
