GoCardless for Zoho CRM
GoCardless gives you control over your payments, ensuring that your invoices are paid on time, every time via direct debit. With the GoCardless extension for Zoho CRM, you can send invoices to your customers and get payments right from your Zoho CRM. All your payments get credited directly to the bank account linked in your GoCardless account.
Installing the extension
You can install the GoCardless extension either from Zoho Marketplace or from within your Zoho CRM account as follows:
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
All the installed extensions will be listed. - Click All Extensions to view the extensions supported by your CRM edition.
- Under All Extensions, browse for and click GoCardless.
The details about the extension will be available. - Click Install.
- Agree to the terms of service and click Continue.
- Choose one of the following options, then click Confirm:
- Install for admins only - The extension will be installed in CRM only for users with the administrator profile.
- Install for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users.
- Choose profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM for manually chosen users. Choose this option, click Confirm, then select the desired profiles.
The extension will be installed automatically for the specified users. - In the pop-up, click Authorize.
Sign in with your GoCardless account credentials.
Note:
- If you skip this step, you can authorize it later from your Setup page in Zoho CRM. To do so, go to Setup > Marketplace > All. Find the GoCardless extension and click Configure.
- The GoCardless account that you are using should be active. Only then, you will be allowed to synchronize contacts and payments from GoCardless.
- You will only be asked to verify the GoCardless account, if not verified, whenever you try to access the extension.
Synchronize GoCardless data
Once installed and authorized, you can synchronize the contacts and payments from your GoCardless account to your Zoho CRM. Ensure that the GoCardless account is verified and active for the synchronization to happen. All your contacts and payments from GoCardless will be synced to the GoCardless Customers and the GoCardless Payments modules in Zoho CRM, respectively.
To synchronize:
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
Find the GoCardless extension and click Settings. - Click Sync Now.
The Sync Now button will be shown only the first time after installation. Any contacts and payments added further in GoCardless will get synchronized to Zoho CRM in real time.
Sending invoice
Once the contacts and payments have been synced, you can now send invoices to any of your contacts. If the contact selected has already set the mandate, the payments will be processed using the desired mandate from the available list. If not, an email with a link to set up mandate will be triggered to the customer.
To send an invoice:
- Go to the Invoice module.
- Open the invoice to be sent to the customer from the invoice list.
You can create a new invoice by clicking Create Invoice. - In Contact Name, select the desired customer.
- Click Send Invoice - GoCardless button.
- If the customer has already set the mandate, a pop-up with the available mandates will open.
Select the mandate and click Proceed. - If no mandate is available, an email with a link to set up mandate will be sent.
Once the customer set up the mandate, it can be used for your payments.
Note:
- You can cancel a payment by clicking the Cancel Payment - GoCardless button.
- You can cancel the payment only if it has not already been submitted to the banks.
Uninstall the extension
To uninstall the extension:
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
All the installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in your CRM. - Browse for GoCardless and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
- Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
