The WeChat extension for Zoho CRM helps you to connect with the leads in your CRM account via chats. You can send messages right from your CRM to the leads' WeChat account directly. Similarly, any messages from the leads will be received in your Zoho Cliq channel. With this extension, you can access the conversation history anytime from your CRM account.
Requirements:
- WeChat cloud account (www.mp.weixin.qq.com)
- WeChat mobile account (mobile app account)
Installing the extension
To install the extension:
Navigate to Setup > Marketplace > All.
Click All Extensions, then browse and click WeChat for Zoho CRM.
Click Install Now.
Agree to the Terms of Service and click Continue.
In Choose Users/Profiles, select one of the following options:
Install for admins only
Install for all users
Choose profiles
If you select the Choose profiles option, check all the profiles you want the extension to install for and click Confirm.
The extension will be installed for the selected users.
Sign in to your WeChat mobile app.
A QR Code will be shown in the home page.
Scan the QR code using the mobile app and click Accept.
Both your web and mobile WeChat accounts are paired now.
Navigate to Development > Basic Configuration > Public Number Development.
You can find your AppID and AppSecret here.
In Extension Details page, enter the AppID and AppSecret and click Save.
The extension will be installed successfully.
Configuring the extension
Once installed, pairing should be done between the Zoho CRM account and the WeChat account for the integration to work. To pair, follow the below configuration steps.
- In Extension Details page, click Settings.
- Copy the callback URL and Token listed.
- In the WeChat web page, navigate to Development > Basic Configuration > Server Configuration.
- Click Modify configuration to.
- Paste the callback URL and Token.
- Click submit, and then confirm.
Now, both the CRM and WeChat accounts are paired with each other successfully, and the extension is ready to use.
Inviting leads in Zoho CRM
You can send invite to the leads in your Zoho CRM account so that you can send messages to their WeChat account directly.
- Open a lead in your Zoho CRM account.
- Click WeChat Invite button.
- An e-mail with a scan-code image will be sent to the respective lead.
- In Zoho CRM, the WeChat status will be updated as Invited, and the Invited Time will be updated with the date & time the invite was sent.
Once the lead accepts the invitation by scanning the scan-code image, a new channel will be created in your Zoho Cliq (cliq.zoho.com.cn) with the lead name and a welcome message will be shared. Any message sent from Cliq will be received in WeChat and vice-versa.
Generating new leads to Zoho CRM
You can generate new leads who are not using the Zoho CRM by just sharing the scan-code image in public places.
- In Extension Details page, click Settings.
- Click the Download button.
The scan-code image will download and gets saved in your computer.
The image can be shared publicly. When any WeChat user, who is not part of Zoho, scans the image, the user will be added as a new lead in your CRM account. A new channel will be created in your Zoho Cliq (cliq.zoho.com.cn) with the lead name and a welcome message will be shared. Any message sent from Cliq will be received in WeChat and vice-versa.
Uninstalling the extension
To uninstall the extension,
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
All the installed extensions are listed. - Under All Extensions, you can view all the installed extensions.
- Browse for WeChat and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
- Click Ok to confirm and uninstall the extension.
