Egnyte is an enterprise-level file sharing and synchronization software. The Egnyte for Zoho CRM extension helps salespeople to store and track the files they use daily, such as bills, invoices, and quotations. Once the Egnyte and Zoho CRM accounts are synced, all of these files can be easily managed and sent to leads and customers directly from Zoho CRM.

Note:
- Only administrators can install this extension.
- The extension will be available for standard and above editions of Zoho CRM, along with a free trial of 15 days.
- Users are required to have an active Egnyte account as well.
- The email address used to sign into Zoho CRM account and the Egnyte account should be the same.
- The extension can be used with the Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Deals, and Cases modules.
- Please note that the Egnyte extension for Zoho CRM is available in US, EU, CN, IN, AU, CA, SA, and JP datacenters.
Installing the extension
You can install the extension either from the Zoho Marketplace and or log into your Zoho CRM account and install it.
To install from Zoho CRM:
Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
All the installed extensions will be listed.
Click All Extensions, then browse for and click Egnyte.
Click Buy Now.
You will be redirected to the payments page, where you can purchase it. Once the payment is done, a pop-up will be displayed to install the extension.
In the popup, click Install Now.
Agree to the Terms of Service and click Install.
In the Privacy Declaration box, read the statement and click Agree and Continue.
In the Choose Users/Profiles section, select the users for whom the extension needs to be installed.
Install for admin only - The extension will be installed only for the users with the administrator profile.
Install for all users - The extension will be installed for all users. Users need to have an Egnyte account, and be a part of the same domain to use this feature.
Choose profiles - The extension will be installed only for the selected users. Choose this option, click Continue, then select the required profiles.
Once the extension is installed, a webtab Egnyte Settings will be created.
Click Authorize to enable synchronization between the two applications.
If you skip this step, you can later authorize from Settings > Setup > Marketplace > All. On the Egnyte extension details page, you can click Authorize.
In the pop-up, specify your Egnyte domain name (eg: zykler.egnyte.com) and click Save and Authorize.
Click Allow Access to grant Zoho CRM access to Egnyte.
Setting up the extension
The extension creates base folders in Egnyte for all the supported modules of Zoho CRM only when a record is created after installation. A subfolder will be created for every record of those modules and the folder name will be the Full Name of that record for Contacts and Leads modules, Account Name for Accounts module, Deal Name for Deals module, and Case Number for Cases module. For Contacts and Leads, this folder name can be customized to other field names.
To customize the folder name:
Click on the Egnyte Settings webtab.
The Settings page will open.
Under Customization Settings, select the CRM Field Name for Contacts and Leads.
The selected field name in Zoho CRM will be the folder name in Egnyte for those records in Contacts and Leads module.
Click Save.
Under Events log, all the customization settings made to the Contacts and Leads modules will be recorded.
Note: After the custom settings are done, the folder name change will reflect in Egnyte only after accessing add file to Egnyte, until then the old name will be retained in Egnyte.
Uploading files to Egnyte from Zoho CRM
Whenever you create a record in the Contacts, Leads, Accounts, Deals, and Cases modules of the Zoho CRM, a folder for that record will be automatically created inside your Egnyte account. You can then upload files to this folder; it will also be listed under the related list "Egnyte Files" of your record.
Go to the Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Cases or Deals modules.
Click on a record to which you want to add or share documents.
In the record's details page, click Add File to Egnyte.
In the pop-up, any files added for the record already will be listed.
Click Add File.
Select the files to be added from your computer and click Open.
Your file will be added to Egnyte.
You can even create a sub-folder for the record by clicking Create Folder.
Enter the folder name and click Create.
All the files added will be listed in the related list of that particular record in Zoho CRM.
Uninstall the extension
When you uninstall the extension, please note that all the data in Zoho CRM related to Egnyte will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
To uninstall the Egnyte extension
Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
All the installed extensions are listed.
Browse for Egnyte and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
Click Ok to confirm.
