Where inside Zoho CRM can I find Models?

Models are contextual nudges displayed by Zia in many places in Zoho CRM. You can see them: 
  1. In places with descriptive texts like description, notes, email compose windows, email reply window, and email templates.
  2. Near certain field values.

How does Models work?

Models in Zoho CRM leverages Zia, Zoho’s AI assistant, and integrates with either Zoho Hosted LLM or external LLM services to provide context-aware suggestions that enhance productivity and decision-making.
Understanding the AI Models in Models
  1. Zia processes CRM data, identifies patterns, and provides contextual prompts tailored to business needs.
  2. Zoho Hosted LLM is Zoho’s native generative AI model that operates within Zoho’s secure infrastructure, offering AI-driven assistance without requiring third-party services.
  3. External LLM services are designed to generate human-like responses based on its training data.

What are the capabilities of Models?

Models assists users in various tasks by generating AI-powered insights and responses based on CRM data.

Can I connect my personal OpenAI account with my CRM?

No, enabling and disabling Models can be done only by a CRM administrator. That said, only an administrator can connect their OpenAI account and the same account will be used to generate response across the CRM organization.

Do I need to set up anything to use Zoho Hosted LLM with Models?

No, Zoho Hosted LLM is Zoho’s in-house AI model and does not require any external account or API key. If your CRM edition supports Zoho Hosted LLM, it can be enabled directly from the Models settings by an administrator.


How do I define the tone of my message?

The tone of the message is an influential factor in communication. It sets the context and intent of your message. Using Models, you can craft or refine your content of your emails and campaigns, in the desired tone. You can choose to write or respond in the following tones: professional, casual, humorous, descriptive, narrative, or sarcastic. You can also determine the length of your text as short, long, or medium.
To define the tone, simply click on the settings options above your generated response.

From the list of styles, you can choose a tone and length of the message. Models will regenerate the response as per the updated preference.


Can Portal users access Models?

No, none of Zia's capabilities are currently extended for the portal users.

Can I use, share, and alter the response?

Yes, after the response is generated, you can edit, regenerate, change the length and tonality, and copy the output. You can repurpose the response in your emails or save as notes.
Here's how you can copy it. Simply click on the copy icon present above the generated response.


Will I be able to see the history of prompts and responses?

No, the response provided by Models is a one time response that will be in display until the response is regenerated or closed. You cannot lookup your past prompts, responses, and conversations from within CRM.



Why does my Models stop working?

There could be a few reasons for this. One possibility is that you have reached the usage limitation of your free trial or paid plan. To check your OpenAI API usage, you can visit this link. Make sure to review your usage and see if you have exceeded any limits. Also do check the expiry date of your current plan.
