Installing Zoho databridge in Windows
Zoho Databridge is a lightweight independent utility that connects your on-premise data source and Zoho applications to import data. In other words, you can quickly and securely transfer local files and local databases from your internal network to Zoho applications.
With Zoho DataPrep, you can use Zoho Databridge to allow the import of data from local databases such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL in your local network and you can also incrementally import data from FTP servers and local files using Zoho Databridge.
Zoho Databridge solely transfers data from your local network to Zoho DataPrep. It does not retrieve data back to your local network, ensuring no security breach.
Downloading and adding a Databridge to your network
Follow the steps below to install Databridge on your local machine.
Prerequisites
Windows
RAM - 3GB
Disk space - 3GB min
Processor type - 32-bit, 64-bit
Processing speed - 64 bit and 32 bit
Versions tested - Windows 11 pro version 23H2
Package distribution - .exe file contains JRE, JavaFX runtime, JARs, lib, config files
Install Databridge only in User directory
Downloading the Databridge installer
a) From the Import options:
1. Click Databases or click Files or FTP from the Choose a Datasource box and enable the Import from local network toggle. If you don't have any Databridge previously installed, you will be shown an intro to Databridges.
2. Click the Download button to redirect to the Download Zoho Databridge page.
Download the Windows installer based on the OS of your machine in which Databridge should be installed.

If you have a Databridge previously installed, and if it is inactive, you can choose to add a new Databridge by clicking the Add Databridge button from the Databridge dropdown in the import configuration page of Database or import from local network of FTP and Files.
b) From the Settings page:
You can also download the Databridge installer from the Settings page.
1. In the Settings page, select Databridges from the side panel, click Add Databridge to add a new databridge.
2. Download the Windows installer based on the OS of your machine in which the Databridge needs to be installed.

Installing Databridge in your network
Notes:
1. Install Databridge on a computer that is always ON and connected to the internet. A wired network is preferred so that the data transfer is faster and more reliable.
2. Ensure the JDBC jar file required for database is placed at "~Zoho Databridge 2.0/lib/jars/<.jar>" folder.
Steps to install Databridge in a Windows system
1. Click one of the below links to download the Databridge installer for Windows system.

2. Double-click to run the databridge*.exe file for Windows to start the installation wizard.
3. The Zoho Databridge Setup will be opened. Click Next to start installing Zoho Databridge.
4. Read the License Agreement terms and click Yes to accept and proceed.
5. Click Browse and choose a path in your user directory. This will install Databridge within the user directory. Click Next.
Don't install the Zoho Databridge in the default folder (program files). If you are not the administrator of your machine, you will not have permission to read or write files if you have installed Zoho Databridge in the program files directory. Only an administrator can edit files in the program files directory.
6. To use a proxy server, select the Use Proxy Server checkbox and click Next.
7. Enter the Proxy Server hostname, Proxy server port, Username, Password, and click Next.
8. Review the configuration in the Current Settings and click Next to proceed.
9. Once the installation is complete, you can start Zoho Databridge. Click Finish to complete.
10. Log into Zoho Accounts with the username and password for your account with Zoho.
11. Click Accept.
12. Select one of your existing Organisation portals from the Select portal dropdown.
13. Give a name to your Databridge under Databridge name and click Setup.
14. Now the setup is complete and the Databridge is ready to use. Please make sure the Auto start Databridge on system reboot box is checked. Click Done.
15. Once the configuration is done, the Databridge will get started and shows an Overview with details such as the Databridge name, Status, Uptime, and Last started time.
Note: You can also verify this by viewing the Databridge dropdown in the import options or under the Databridge section in the Settings page.17. You can manage the linked databridges under Databridges in the Settings page.

Troubleshooting - FAQs
1. My Databridge doesn't seem to work. How can I reinstall Zoho Databridge?
If you have installed Zoho Databridge earlier on the same machine, make sure to uninstall it completely and delete the existing version. You can then proceed with installing the newly downloaded Databridge package.
2. How to uninstall Databridge in Windows OS?
1. Close the Databridge tab.
2. Go to Apps & Features
3. Select Zoho Databridge and then click Uninstall.
3. Zoho Databridge is active but I cannot connect to database or tables?
This issue might have occurred if you had installed Zoho Databridge under the folder Program files. Please make sure you install Databridge in the user directory to avoid such issues.
4. I have installed Databridge from Zoho Analytics. Can I use the same for Zoho DataPrep?
No, there is a separate application for Zoho DataPrep. Please use Zoho Databridge 2.0 for DataPrep.
5. What should I do if my Databridge is inactive ?
You can restart Databridge, if your Databridge is inactive.
6. How to restart Databridge in Windows OS?
To restart the databridge in Windows, close the Databridge and follow any one of the following methods.
1) Right-click Databridge from the Tray icon and click Start.
2) Run the "StartServer" windows batch file in the Zoho Databridge 2.0 folder to start.
3) a) In the command prompt, navigate to the Zoho Databridge 2.0 folder using the below cd command.
7. What do I do if Zoho Databridge doesn't restart in Windows?
If your end user monitoring agent is already running then Zoho Databridge would not restart. In this case, stop the databridge and restart it again following the below the steps.

8. What should I do if my Databridge did not start after restarting my machine in Windows?
If your Databridge doesn't restart automatically,
1) Navigate to the Zoho Databridge 2.0 folder in the command line.
2) You can restart it manually by entering the below command from the databridge package installed location (Zoho Databridge 2.0 folder).
9. Can I install Zoho Analytics Databridge if Zoho DataPrep Databridge is already present in the system?
Yes, you can install Zoho Analytics Databridge along with Zoho DataPrep Databridge in your system.
10. Can I run both Zoho Analytics and Zoho DataPrep Databridges at the same time?
Yes, you can run both Zoho Analytics and DataPrep databridges simultaneously.
11. Can I have more than one Zoho Databridge installed on my machine for Zoho DataPrep?
No, you can have only one Databridge installed in your machine for your DataPrep organization. But you can have multiple databridges for one organization in different machines.
12. How to delete Databridge from DataPrep organization?
Click Databridges under the Settings page. Click the delete icon to permanently remove the databridge from your organization. Also delete the Zoho Databridge 2.0 folder from your machine using the below steps in Windows:
- Press Windows and R and open the Run dialog box.
- Type regedit and open the Registry Editor.
- Open the path - HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
- Delete the Value name and Value data.
- Now delete the Zoho Databridge 2.0 folder from the installed location.
13. How to fix connectivity issues with Zoho Databridge and my database?
We try to throw appropriate errors in the UI to let the users know about the kind of error. But to debug connectivity related problems, we rely on the logs that are available in the Databridge installation folder. This helps us understand what kind of issue is stopping us from successfully connecting with your database. However, this might not make sense to an end user.
If there is an unknown error, the best way to move forward is to reach us at support@zohodataprep.com along with the logs present in "~/ZohoDatabridge2.0/logs"
One of the other ways to simplify testing is to use a database client tool in the same machine as the Databridge and try to connect to the database. This could let you know whether the problem is with connectivity to your database, or with the Databridge.
