Custom data type

The Custom data type page lists all the custom data types created by the user across all the datasets in DataPrep.

You can view the data type name, the data type, visibility, and how many datasets it is used in.

You can also choose to edit, delete or view more details about the custom data type.

You can click the edit icon for the respective custom data type to edit the data type.

The following options can be customized for the selected data type.

Data type name and icon - You can update the name of the custom data type and choose a different icon.
Visibility - The visibility of the custom data type can be updated here to dataset, workspace or organization depending on the user's role.
Base data type - You can choose the base data type from Text, Number, Decimal and Date types.
Thousands separator - If the data type is a number data type, you can set the thousands separator to comma (,) , dot (.) or none.
Conditions - You can select the conditions to define your data type with options to include match types and expressions.

You can also click the info icon next to the custom data type name on hovering over the data type name to view more details.

Some details that are displayed are data type name and icon, base type, visibility, usage, conditions and criteria for the conditions.
