You can also share multiple datasets by selecting the check boxes and clicking the Share icon under the Datasets tab.
2. Enter the emails under Invite people to share with users or groups and select their user role from the drop-down.
3. User role can be one of the following: Editor, Data consumer or Data consumer (without PII and ePHI data).
4. You can choose the Send email notification to users checkbox to notify the user through email.
5. You can also pick users or groups from your previously shared contact list and choose their user roles.
6. Click Share to share your datasets with the users or groups.
To lock a dataset from sharing
You can lock a dataset in your DataPrep organisation and prevent users from sharing it further. Unlocking lifts the lock on the dataset, and it will be allowed for sharing.
Even if a dataset is in the locked state, the users with whom it was already shared could still access the dataset and make changes to its data. Locking only restricts further sharing of the dataset. It does not restrict access to the dataset.
A dataset can be locked or unlocked from the sharing panel only by the following user roles:
- Account admin
- Organisation admins
- Workspace admins
1. To lock a dataset, click the lock icon
on the sharing panel and select the Lock Dataset option.
2. Now, you have successfully locked your dataset from sharing.
3. When a dataset is locked, you will see all the options in a disabled state in the sharing panel and the lock
icon will be in the locked state.
4. When locked, the other users with whom you have already shared the dataset can access the dataset but cannot share the dataset with anyone else.
Here's a sample snapshot they would see.
5. To unlock a dataset, click the lock icon
on the sharing panel and select the Unlock Dataset option. Your dataset will be unlocked for sharing.
