It helps to store, share, and manage your passwords from anywhere. It is an absolute must for teams that need to share sensitive information securely among themselves. The Zoho Vault extension for Zoho Desk enables you to share passwords with your team and with different levels of access permissions. All you need to do is enter your Zoho Vault passphrase to access your passwords and other confidential data inside Zoho Desk.

Installation Requirements

Install and Configure Zoho Vault Extension
The Zoho Vault extension can be installed from Zoho Marketplace or from your Zoho Desk.
Follow the steps below to install the Zoho Vault Extension from Zoho Desk account.
- Log in to your Zoho Desk account with Administrator privileges.
- Click the Setup ( ) > Integration > Marketplace.
- Search for Zoho Vault in the search bar on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Select the Zoho Vault for Zoho Desk extension.
- Click Install.
- In Zoho Vault Installation Setup page,
- Select Profiles and Departments whose agents can access the extension in Zoho Desk.
Note: When you select All Departments, the extension will be added only to the departments you have access to. - Agree to Terms of Use.
- Click Install.
The extension will be installed for the specified profiles and departments.
- Click Authorize in the pop-up window to activate the extension.
- Click Accept to allow Zoho Workflow to access data in your Zoho Desk account.
- Voila! Zoho Vault extension will be ready for use.
Viewing Zoho Vault Secrets from Zoho Desk
Once the extension is installed, the secrets from Zoho Vault can be viewed from from the right panel of a ticket's detail page.
To view secrets from Zoho Vault:
- Click Tickets from the menu bar and open a ticket.
- Click the Extensions icon ( ) on the right side of the ticket's detail page.
Zoho Vault extension can be viewed in the right panel.
- Enter your Zoho Vault Passphrase and then click Open Zoho Vault.
Secrets added by you and shared with you by others will be displayed.
Note:
- You cannot add new secrets from inside Zoho Desk.
Sharing Zoho Vault Secrets from Zoho Desk
You can share the Zoho Vault secrets with others from inside Zoho Desk. You can choose to share secrets with other users or user groups.
To share secrets from Zoho Vault:
- Enter your Passphrase into the Zoho Vault extension and click Open Zoho Vault.
Secrets added by you and shared with you by others will be displayed.
- Click the Share icon ( ) corresponding to the secret you want to share.
Share Secrets with Users window will open.
- Choose either Share with Users or Share with User Groups from the top of the window.
- Specify the users from the drop-down menu.
You can selectively grant One-click Login Only or View or Modify or Manage privilege to the required user(s) or user group(s) by adding them under the corresponding section. - Click Share.
Uninstall the Extension
You can uninstall the Zoho Vault extension at any time. Once uninstalled, your agents cannot share the secrets from Zoho Desk.
To uninstall an extension:
- Go to Setup > Integration> Marketplace
- In the Marketplace page, click Installed Extensions.
- Choose Zoho Vault for Zoho Desk from the list of extensions.
- Click the More icon ( ) at the upper-right corner of the Zoho Vault extension setup page.
- Select Uninstall Extension.
- Click Confirm to uninstall the extension.
