The privacy and security settings protect the app and the data within from unauthorized access and use. While privacy ensures that the user's information is secure, security controls access to the said information.
Enabling app lock
App lock is a functional control that only allows the user to access the Desk app upon entering a 4- or 6- digit pin.
To enable app lock
- Tap the More icon > Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Enable App Lock.
- Set the pin and confirm it by re-entering the same pin again.
The user can also disable the app lock if not needed.
Changing pin
The user can change the passcode PIN by tapping Change PIN and setting a new PIN.
Asking for pin
The users can choose when they want the passcode to activate after entering the app by selecting Ask for PIN, then choosing the preferred option.
Agents can use the passcode to unlock the app. They will be signed out after six failed attempts.
Enabling face ID
Face ID enables users to access the app without a passcode but by recognizing the user face.
Send diagnostics reports
Enabling this option allows you to send diagnostic information to Zoho Desk, helping the team understand app performance and identify the root cause of the issue. You can send information via email, either using your email address or anonymously.
Crash reports
This option enables you to identify crash details or reports, such as stack traces, type of crash, trends, and software version. It also alerts you about crashes, providing you with information for maintaining app stability.
Text copy and paste
Text Copy enables the text copied in the app to be stored in the device's clipboard that can be accessed by other apps. Disabling the text copy option will restrict access to the clipboard.
Screen recording
This option enables the agents to screen record the Zoho Desk app. If disabled, agents will be prevented from recording the screens of the app.
Content translation
This option can be enabled to translate app contents. The content to be translated will be shared with Apple services for translation.
Share user activities
This option enables agents to share activities made by them to Siri. This helps improve suggestions related to the usage patterns.
Spotlight search
It is a search feature that functions as a selection-based search system. The search results an index of all items and files on the system.
Sensitive content detection
Agents can enable this option to allow Zoho Desk to share downloaded media information, detect nudity in images and videos, and show a warning before display.
Agents can toggle the button to enable all these options.

These are the rules that users must agree to abide by to use the Zoho Desk mobile service.
Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy provides all the details, such as legal documents regarding how Zoho Desk handles data the user gives.
Closing account
Users have an option to close or delete their Zoho Account from the mobile application. Closing the Zoho Desk account will permanently delete all the data and apps associated with that account. This will also delete the user's profile in the web app.
After deleting the account, the user can open a new account using the old email address.
To delete or close a free Desk account
- Tap the More icon > go to Settings> Privacy and Security.
- Tap Close Account. On the Close Account page, click Proceed. You will be redirected to accounts.zoho.com to verify your identity.
- Enter your Password and click Confirm Password. You will be redirected to a page listing the apps associated with your Zoho Desk account.
- Click Next. A page listing the app-specific organizations will be shown
- Click Next. You will be redirected to the Close Account page again.
- Select a Reason for closing the account from the drop-down and a Feedback.
- Click Close Account.
To delete a paid account from the mobile, the user should cancel their subscription or downgrade it to a free account and then delete.
The user can close the app while in the process of deleting their account and resume from where they left when they reopen their app.
