List view presents records in an organized manner, making it easy to view and manage large amounts of data. Custom module customization allows users to customize this list view of custom modules to be more dynamic, presenting all relevant information directly within the list view.
For example, in a Tour Bookings module, users can display details like Tour Package Name, Booking Status, Payment Status, and Departure Date right in the list view. This enables users to access important details at a glance, without needing to open individual records, thereby enhancing efficiency and convenience.
Accessing custom module customization
In a custom module, users can choose the fields that they want to be displayed in the list view using the custom module customization.
To access the custom module customization page
- Open the Zoho Desk app.
- Tap the More icon ()
- Go to Settings ()
- Select Custom Module Customization.
- Choose the desired module.
The custom module customization option will be available by default.
Setting up custom module customization layout fields
Custom module customization layout allows users to choose up to 11 fields for their list view display, organized into four layout categories: Heading (1 field), Subheading (2 fields), and Items (4 fields each). The fields are displayed according to the layout hierarchy, ensuring a structured and clear view of the information.
To customize the layout
- Open the Zoho Desk app.
- Tap the More icon ()
- Go to Settings ()
- Select Custom Module Customization.
- Choose the desired module.
- Tap the Plus icon () next to each layout and select the fields you need.
- Tap Save to apply the changes.
Info: To undo all changes and return to the default settings, tap the More icon () on the top-right corner of Display Field page and select the Reset to Default option.
To remove fields
- Open the Zoho Desk app.
- Tap the More icon ()
- Go to Settings ()
- Select Custom Module Customization.
- Choose the desired module.
- Uncheck the fields you want to remove.
- Tap Save to apply the changes.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the field to the bottom to remove it.
To rearrange layouts and fields
- Open the Zoho Desk app.
- Tap the More icon ()
- Go to Settings ()
- Select Custom Module Customization.
- Choose the desired module.
a. To rearrange the layouts, long-press the layout and then drag and drop to your desired order.
b. To rearrange the fields, drag and drop them according to your preference. - Tap Save to apply the changes.
Advanced Options
The advanced options button on the display field page allows users to further customize the appearance of each card. It offers two advanced settings: Image and Style.
Images
Users have the option to add an image, which currently displays the initials of the heading. For example, if an image is added for contacts, the initial alphabets of the contact's first and last names will be shown. Users have the option to position the image to the left or right and choose between a square and a circle for their profile photo shape.
Style
Users can choose the display style of the record in the list view from two options: list and card. This section also includes a toggle to display icons alongside the fields.
