Making Radar Follow Your Device's Timezone

Making the Radar App Follow Your Device's Timezone

Response times make or break a customer's experience. No matter how effective the solution is, delayed delivery reduces its impact. One factor that stands in the way of prompt support is time difference—a challenge common for geographically distributed teams. A help desk app that doesn't reflect your timezone can lead to delayed emails, missed calls, overdue tasks, and violated SLAs. Radar's Use Device Timezone setting provides a solution for this issue. Once enabled, the app automatically adapts to your device's timezone, displaying all time-related data like created time and due time, in local time. This makes it easy for you to stay on top of things and provide prompt support.

Scenario: Keeping up while on the move

Theo is a customer support agent at Zylcorp. He's on a month-long trip, representing his company at various tradeshows across the nation. Although Theo is usually punctual with his response, he's been violating SLAs lately, missing calls and scheduled meetings left and right. At first, he's baffled. After some reflection, Theo realizes the issue: his help desk application reflects the timezone of his company's headquarters and not his current location. Enabling Use Device Timezone fixes this instantly. Theo returns to providing fast, reliable support—no matter where his work takes him.

Notes
Things to consider

By default, Radar will follow the timezone set in your Zoho Desk account. This could be the time zone set by your admin when creating the help desk or the one you set for your account under user preferences.

Steps to enable the use device time zone setting.

  1. Open the Radar for Zoho Desk app.
  2. Tap on the setting icon (selectedImg) in the bottom bar.

  3. Enable Use Device Timezone.

Radar will start following your device's timezone.
