Deleting a GC flow

Deleting a GC flow

Deleting a conservation flow does not remove the GC flow entirely. This only means that the flow will not be visible to your end users on your help center. Once deleted, the flow will move from the Flows tab to the Deleted Flows tab. You can restore it anytime you want by selecting the deleted flow and clicking the Restore button.
Info
Please note that only users with permission to delete GC flows in their respective profiles can delete.

Steps to delete a conversation flow

1. Go to Setup General Guided Conversations .
2. Hover over a conversation flow under the Flows tab.
3. Click the Delete icon corresponding to the flow.
4. A confirmation message appears.

5. Click Delete.

Notes
If the deleted flow has dependencies, errors will be displayed in the associated flows.

Steps to delete a specific language flow

A specific language flow can be deleted within a GC flow; however, it cannot be recovered once deleted. The same language can be re-added using the "+Add Language" button, which creates a new draft based on the latest version of the default language.

Info
If the deleted language flow has dependencies on other flows, errors will be shown in both this flow and the dependent flows.

Notes

Points to note when deleting a flow:

  • Only users with permission in their profiles can delete GC flows.
  • Deleting a conversation flow doesn't remove it from GC; it just hides it from end users on your help center.
  • Once deleted, the flow moves to the deleted flows tab. You can restore it anytime by clicking the Restore icon situated corresponding to the flow.
  • The deleted flows will remain listed permanently till it is manually deleted.
  • Deleting a flow hides it from users but keeps it in GC. It moves to the deleted flows tab and can be restored anytime.
  • Deleted flows remain listed permanently until manually removed.
  • After deleting a published flow, re-publish the flow to reflect the changes.
  • After making changes, it is necessary to republish the flow for those changes to be reflected in an end user's session.
  • If you delete a flow, the metrics of the flow will be deleted along with it. You can look for the metrics for the last 10 versions of the flow in Version History.
