Deactivate/Activate an IdP

Prerequisites

Permissions required to perform this action :

  • Configure SSO

Deactivate/Activate an IdP:

After you add an IdP, you can either activate or deactivate it.
If you activate an IdP, it will be applied to certain users based on the priority. They will then have to sign in with SSO via this IdP. If you deactivate an IdP, then users who were using this IdP will either have to sign in via a different IdP, or use their Zoho Directory credentials. The IdPs can be activated or deactivated at any time.

When you add the "Default" IdP, it will be activated for all users by default. If you deactivate it, users who were using that IdP to sign in will then have to sign in with their Zoho One credentials instead.

To deactivate/activate an IdP:
  1. Sign in to Zoho Directory, then click Admin Panel in the left navigation menu.
  2. Go to Security, then click the Custom Authentication tab.
  3. To deactivate an IdP:
    1. Click the IdP that you want to deactivate.
    2. Under the SAML tab, click Enable SSO. A confirmation message pops up.
    3. Click Deactivate.
  4. To activate an IdP:
    1. Click the IdP that you want to activate.
    2. Under the SAML tab, click Enable SSO. A confirmation message pops up.
    3. Click Activate.
