Assign a Directory user to an enrolled device

Prerequisites

Roles required to perform this action:

  • Organization owner

  • Organization admin


To assign a Directory user to an enrolled device,
  1. Click the required device.
  2. In the displayed pop up, click Assign User.

         

  3. Select the user you want to assign to the device. The user's local account name should match the user name present in the device.

         

  4. Click Assign. An enrolled device can only have confirmed users assigned to it.
  5. If the selected user doesn't have a local account name mapped to their account, you will be prompted to enter the local account name. Enter an account name already present on the device and then click Assign. 

         

         

The assigned user can now access the device with the Zoho Directory password. It should be noted that one user may be assigned to multiple devices, and vice versa.
