Cobalt for Zoho Directory
Prerequisites
Cobalt Organization owner privileges
1.If you're a Zoho One user:
- Sign in to Zoho One
, then click Directory within the left menu.
- Go to Marketplace, then click Browse Applications.
- Use the search bar to find and install Cobalt.

2.If you're a Zoho Directory user:
- Sign in to Zoho Directory
, then click Admin Panel within the left menu.
- Go to Applications, then click Add Application.
- Use the search bar to find and add Cobalt.

3.Click Add.
4.Click the Single Sign-On tab.
5.Click Service Provider Details to check and verify the SP details. You can also edit them if needed.
6.Click
Identity Provider Details, then copy the
Sign-in URL, and the
X.509 Certificate.

- Open Cobalt in the browser.
- Go to Settings, then select Identity & Access.
- Under Configure SAML, click Configure.
- In the Identity Provider section, select Other.
- In the IdP SSO URL, enter the copied Sign-in URL from Zoho.
- In the IdP Certificate field, paste the copied X.509 Certificate from Zoho.
- Click Save Configuration.
Test the SAML connection
- Return to the Zoho Directory Admin Panel.
- Go to Applications, then click Cobalt.
- Click Assign Users and choose yourself from the list, then click Assign.
- Click on the
icon next to the app's name. If everything is working, you should be automatically signed in and taken to the Cobalt homepage.

Enforce SAML SSO
After successfully testing SSO, you can enforce it for all users. Once this is done, your users will no longer be able to sign in using their Cobalt credentials.
- To restrict users to SSO:
- Sign in to Cobalt as an "organization owner."
- Go to Settings, then select Identity & Access.
- Under SAML Single Sign-on (SSO), turn on the Enforce SAML toggle, and confirm your action.
Make app visible to all users
After successfully testing the SSO, you can make Cobalt available for all users to access from their My Apps page.
To make Cobalt visible to all users:
- Sign in to the Zoho Directory Admin Panel.
- Go to Applications, then click Cobalt.
- Click Unhide.

- You can now access Cobalt from Zoho Directory's My Apps page.
