If your business uses applications that reside on your own servers (on-premise applications), access to that data will be regulated, and won't be available to your everyday cloud applications. In this case, you'll need a trusted gateway to provide quick and secure access for Zoho Flow to move data between your cloud and on-premise applications.

The On-Prem Agent allows Zoho Flow to securely connect and access authorized on-premise apps in your system. This lets you create workflows that include triggers and actions of on-premise applications, allowing them to exchange data between your cloud apps as well as the other on premise applications on your servers through Zoho Flow in a secure manner.

Once you install the on-prem agent on your local machine, it will run within the bounds of your firewall and establish a secure gateway through which it can access your authorized apps and communicate safely with Zoho Flow. An encrypted WebSocket tunnel is used with Transport Layer Security (TLS) in the WebSocket connection.

The agent ensures that there are no unauthorized connections to your system, and that the data transfer between Zoho Flow and your system is completely secure.
