Versioning in Zoho Flow

Versions

What is versioning in Zoho Flow?

Versions in Zoho Flow help you review and track when a flow was made, and the changes that were made throughout its lifecycle.

How are versions created?

A new version of a live flow will be created each time you click Apply changes in the Flow builder. This gives you information about the triggers, actions, or logic elements that are added or removed in your flow. Any unsaved changes in the flow will be available as a Draft version, which you can apply to your existing live flow.

How do versions help?

Suppose you have created a simple flow integration, and at a later stage, you wish to modify it with new logic elements or actions. Suppose a user in your organization might want to try a few changes to an already working flow configuration. However, this should not affect the original flow that is working perfectly.

Versions can help you track any changes applied to a flow by creating multiple instances of your integration for you to test, track, and apply new changes. You can also view the date and time the instances were created. Additionally, it also lets you add notes to different versions.

How do I use versions?

To view the different versions of your flow:

  1. In your flow's builder page, click VERSIONS. All the versions, including the live and the draft ones, will be available under the Versions section on the right side of the builder interface.
  2. Click on a version to preview it on the builder. You can either Apply the draft versions, or you can view the previous versions.
  3. In the previous versions, you can click on the View button on an action if you want to see how it was configured in that particular version.
  4. You can also add comments by hovering over a version and clicking the Add comments button.
