Random ID

With Random ID field, each form entry will be assigned a random ID upon form submission.

To auto-generate a random id for a form entry,

1. Add a Random ID field from the Identifier section to your form.
2. Under Properties, you can choose the Type of the ID from the following options:
  1. Numbers
    Values range from 0 to 9. Text case settings are not applicable for this option.

  2. Letters
    Values range from A to Z. You can select either Uppercase or Lowercase text in the field below.

  3. Letters and Numbers
    Values include both A to Z and 0 to 9. You can select either Uppercase or Lowercase text in the field below.

3. You can also specify the Length of the ID, ranging from 4 to 10 characters.
4. Under Text Case, you have the flexibility to control the text case of the random ID ensuring it aligns with your desired formatting standards.
  1. Upper Case
  2. Lower Case
5. You can check the Restrict ID Repetition checkbox to ensure the Random ID is unique with no duplicates. Note that this option is not supported for IDs with a length of 4.

6.The Random IDs assigned to the form entries can be viewed under the respective column in the All Entries and Reports section of your form.

Note
1. You can include only one Random ID field per form.
2. The ID may begin with 0 for Numbers & Letters and Numbers types.
3. In scenarios where unique Random IDs cannot be generated despite selecting the Restrict ID Repetition option, the field will appear empty in the All Entries section.
4. The Restrict ID Repetition option is available exclusively under our Paid plans.
