Image Compression for Web Browsers

This section provides an overview of Image Compression option for Web Browsers available in the Image Upload field. Choose Enable Compression (Web Browsers Only) option to automatically compress images before uploading, thereby reducing data usage and optimizing storage. This is applicable only to web browsers.

Image Formats
  1. Supported: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .webp, .jfif, .bmp, .heic, .heif
  2. UnSupported: .gif

Supported Cases
Image compression is supported in all cases like:
1. Live form submissions
2. Save and Resume
3. Editing responses
4. Editing records in Reports
5. Tasks and Approvals

Important notes
1. Image compression is only supported for paid plans.
2. The maximum allowable file size for compression is 50 MB.
3. When image compression is enabled, Min-Max file size validation for the attached image is done after the compression process.
HEIC and HEIF images are automatically converted to JPEG before compression and upload.
4. If the compression or conversion process fails, the original image file will be uploaded without any modifications. The same applies to unsupported image formats.
5. Compression cannot be guaranteed in all cases, as it depends on browsers, file encoding types, and whether the file is already compressed.
6. Image compression is not supported if Large File Uploads is enabled.
7. Enable Compression (Web Browsers Only) option will not be visible in Mobile apps. It can only be viewed and modified when accessed from web browsers.
