Changing Form Type
Changing between Standard, Spotlight, and Card form types provides flexibility in designing and presenting forms to suit different use cases. The choice between form types depends on the complexity of the form and the user experience you want to provide.
Note: Standard and Spotlight form types share similar properties, except for the Page property, which is available only in the Standard form type.
Changing from Card Form to Standard or Spotlight Form
Here are the things you should know before you switch from the Card Form type to the Standard or Spotlight Form type.

Changing from Standard or Spotlight Form to Card Form
Here are the things you should know before you switch from the Standard or Spotlight Form type to the Card Form type.

- If you have the Grid field, Page Break field or Section field on your Standard Form, remove the fields from the form before you switch to the Card Form type.
- If you have Formula field(s) in your Standard Form, place the fields involved in formula above their respective Formula field(s) before you switch to the Card Form type.
- If you have pages on your Standard Form, remove them before you switch to the Spotlight Form.
How to change form type?
To change your form type between Standard, Spotlight, and Card:
- In the forms listing page, under My Forms, hover over the horizontal ellipsis of the desired form. Select Change Form Type from the options.
- A form type change pop-up will appear. Once you are clear about the modifications that will be made, select the form type you wish to switch to.
- You can also change the form type directly from the Builder. Open the form in the Builder and click the form type toggle dropdown in the top-right corner. Select Standard, Spotlight, or Card from the dropdown.
Note: The option to change the form type is only available to the form owner.
