How to restrict respondents from selecting the same answer for multiple questions in radio type matrix choice
Struggling to ensure clear priorities in your matrix choice questions? Zoho Forms' "Limit to one response per Answer column" makes sure that no two questions can have the same answer option. This helps in maintaining clear response priorities and avoiding confusion.
In traditional radio style matrix choice, users typically choose one answer per row, which might also permit multiple selection within a single column. This can be problematic when you need precise prioritization.
Assume you are creating a feature prioritization matrix in which the developer needs to prioritize the upcoming feature based on the urgency as Critical, High, Medium, Low, and Trivial. By limiting to one response per Answer column, respondents can clearly assign a single priority level to each feature, ensuring no two features share the same priority.
In the above matrix, selecting "High Priority" for multiple questions displays an error message.
To enable this option in your Radio type Matrix Choice:
- Click the field to open its Properties.
Under Validation, select Limit to one response per Answer column.
If you have a ranking or priority questions, in which no two questions should be ranked or prioritized the same, enable this option.
You can choose to mark all questions as mandatory to make sure that no question goes unanswered.
