Money is a tricky thing. It has the potential to alter the course of any alliance, particularly one involving payments. Seller- buyer relationships can quickly become a hassle if the money flow is not error-free. And like always, Zoho Forms is here to the rescue with payment calculation.
Payment field and Formula field in Zoho Forms together help you calculate the amount to be paid by the customer for the products and services purchased by them. This can make the transaction between both parties easier, giving a clear summary of the orders purchased and the payment to be made. Now, let's see how payments can be calculated using formula field.
You can find the Payment field in the Advanced fields of the form builder. Just drag and drop the Payment field to your form. Once added, a pop-up appears in which you can configure the settings of the payment.
In the pop-up, specify the field label and the type of payment. You can select the type of payment as Fixed Amount (cannot be modified by your customer) since the payment has to be calculated from the seller's side. You can also choose whether the payment has to be made mandatory.
In the next section, you can choose your desired Payment Gateway from a wide variety of choices, such as PayPal, PayPal checkout, Stripe ,2checkout, Razorpay, Authorize.net, Paytm and Instamojo. Each gateway requires a specific set of information to be filled in the form. You can checkout the settings for the chosen gateway here.
You can choose the currency in which you wish to receive the payments (Eg: USD, INR) and modify the description, contact information and receipt details under the respective options.
You can also choose the payment amount to be Autofilled from a form field. You can choose the formula field in which the calculations are processed for payments from the dropdown. Learn more about how to set up the formula field.
Selecting the Workflow option will process approvals, emails, integrations, etc., only on successful payments. Click Done and the settings will be saved.
