Zoho CRM API Version Upgrade
The latest API enhancements in Zoho CRM have introduced specific modifications to the existing process, potentially impacting your current integration between Zoho Forms and Zoho CRM. By December 1st, 2023, Zoho Forms will align with the most recent updates in Zoho CRM. Please ensure that you make any necessary changes to maintain the seamless functionality of this integration.
1. Tags
As of December 1, 2023, it will be mandatory for the tag name given while adding or updating a record in Zoho CRM to comply with the following conditions. If not, record addition or updation will fail with relevant errors.
- The tag's name must not exceed 25 characters
- The tag's name must not contain any emojis
- The tag's name cannot have the special characters <, >, or a comma.
- You cannot have more than 100 tags for a module.
Ensure that your tag that gets pushed to Zoho CRM via the integration complies with the above conditions.
2. Pipeline
As of December 1, 2023, it will be mandatory to pass the proper pipeline stage value while creating a new Deal record in Zoho CRM if you have enabled Pipeline in Zoho CRM's Deals module.
If the pipeline value is not passed during the integration process, Zoho CRM will throw a mandatory error, and the record creation will not be successful.
Given this deadline, it is of utmost importance to reconfigure your integration between Zoho Forms and Zoho CRM before December 1, 2023. Ensure that you have correctly mapped the pipeline, stage field in Zoho CRM with the relevant form field.
If the pipeline value is not passed during the integration process, Zoho CRM will throw a mandatory error, and the record creation will not be successful.

If the pipeline field is not mapped or mapped incorrectly, the integration may encounter issues such as:
- The form submissions will not be pushed to Zoho CRM's Deals module, throwing a Pipeline mandatory error.
- Even if the integration configuration appears successful, Deal will not be created successfully in Zoho CRM if pipeline value is passed incorrectly.
