Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel Tracking

  1. Why can't I see the custom conversions even after configuring Facebook Pixel for tracking entries of the form embedded on my website?


    If you are collecting entries directly from a public form (shared using its permalink), you must enter the Thank You page URL (For example: https://forms.zohopublic.com/zylker/form/ProductEnquiry/thankyou ) as the conversion URL in Facebook pixel.

    Else, if you are collecting entries from a public form on your website, you must enter the form's public URL (For example: https://forms.zohopublic.com/zylker/form/ProductEnquiry/formperma/lS03Ipzv7zbddPURZbiJwlONJfbgMH2e7NlmM37hHEk) as the conversion URL in FB pixel.

  2. Why can't I see any conversions if my form is redirected to a custom Thank You page upon submission?


    You must add the Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics tracking code on your custom Thank You page, so that each time a form is submitted and redirected to the custom Thank You page, a Page View or an Event is recorded in Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics based on the tracking script you have added in your Thank You page. Then, configure your custom conversions.

  3. Why can't I see any Facebook custom conversions if my form is redirected to a custom Thank You page upon submission?


    If your form is redirected to the custom Thank You page within an iframe, one of the following cases may apply:

    Case 1: If it is redirected in the same window, configure the rule such that the custom conversion URL contains https://forms.zohopublic.com/, as shown.

    Case 2: If it is redirected in the parent window, configure the rules such that the custom conversion URL equals the custom Thank You page URL and the Referring Domain contains forms.zohopublic.com as shown.

  4. Why does the referral source always show as forms.zohopublic.com in Google Analytics instead of the actual source?

    Use the Advanced UTM Tracking code provided in Zoho Forms to track the source along with the form submission. Refer to help for more details.

    Case 1: If you are redirecting your form to the default Thank You page,

    1. In your form builder, navigate to Settings > Acknowledgements & Redirects Google Analytics.
    2. Click +Tracking Parameters as shown to map the UTM parameters.
         
    Case 2: If you are redirecting your form to a custom Thank You page,

    1. In your form builder, navigate to Settings > Acknowledgements & Redirects Redirect To.
    2. Select the Prefill field values in website URL option and map form fields in URL parameters as shown.

  5. Why is Goal tracking not working in Google Analytics?

​      While configuring the Goal details, make sure to choose Begins with and enter the Thank You page URL as shown.
       
  6. Why is only one goal conversion recorded even when multiple form submissions are made?

      Only one goal conversion can be recorded per session. A session will end after 30 mins of idle activity.
​      Submitting a form multiple times within the same session, will be recorded only as one goal conversion.

  7. How do I capture other events related to form submissions in Facebook Pixel?

      Redirect your form to a custom Thank You page where you have placed tracking codes for the events that you wish to track.

 8. How to capture conversions in another Analytics tool?

      Redirect your form to a custom Thank You page where you have placed tracking codes for the other Analytics tools.
