With Zoho Forms, you can collect payments from customers using third party payment gateways like PayPal, Stripe , Instamojo and so on. All you need to do is drag and drop the Payment field in your form and specify the settings.
In this article, we will see how a default value of amount can be pre-filled in the form. This is specifically useful for a non-profit organizations or while receiving donations of any sort.
The inclusion of a default amount pre-filled in the form may increase the probability of receiving the specified amount.
You can find the Payment field in the Advanced fields of the form builder. Just drag and drop the Payment field to your form. Once added, a pop-up appears in which you can specify the settings of the payment.
You can customize the label of the payment field as you see fit. You can choose the payment type to either be Fixed or Modifiable.
A Fixed amount means that you can fix the amount to be paid by the respondents and they cannot modify this amount.
A Modifiable amount means that the amount to be paid can be modified by the respondent. To pre-fill the form with a Default amount, choose the payment type to be Modifiable Amount.
In the next section, you can choose your desired payment gateway from a wide variety of choices, such as PayPal, PayPal checkout, Stripe ,2checkout, Razorpay, Authorize.net, Paytm and Instamojo. Each gateway requires a specific set of information to be filled in the form. You can checkout the settings for the chosen gateway here.
You can choose the currency in which you wish to receive the payments (Eg: USD, INR) and modify the description, contact information and receipt details in the respective options.
For a modifiable value, a minimum and maximum amount range can be set. Enter the amount to be pre-filled in the form in Default Amount. This amount can however be edited by the respondents.
Selecting the Workflow option will process approvals, emails, integrations, etc. only on successful payments. Click Done and the settings will be saved.
