Enabling Built-In Telephony
Zoho's Built-In Telephony is a simple and easy to use phone system for all kinds of business. With this system, your team can make and receive calls, manage credits and phone numbers, configure call routing through call flows, and review call history—all without leaving Zoho FSM.
Once the Built-In telephony is enabled in Zoho FSM, you will be able to:
- Purchase and manage phone numbers directly within Zoho FSM.
- Define how incoming calls are handled and routed within your organization for a professional and efficient customer experience.
- Add and manage users who can make or receive calls via the built-in telephony system.
- Create and manage teams of users for efficient call routing and department-level communication.
Enabling Built-In Telephony
To enable Built-In telephony:
- Navigate to Setup > Channels > Telephony and click Get Started.

- Click Setup Phone.

- Click Buy a Number.

- In the Buy a Number popup, provide the following details and click Next:
- Country: Choose the country in which you want the number.
- Number Type: Choose the category of phone number you want to purchase and use for making or receiving calls.
- Region: Choose the desired region.
- Available Phone Numbers: Pick a number from the list of available options.

- If you do not have the necessary credits to buy the number, you will be shown the option to buy credits. Click Add Credits.

- Enter a value in Number of Phone Credits to be Purchased and click Make Payment.

- Complete the payment.
Once done, your number will be set up and ready to use in Zoho FSM for making and receiving calls.
Understanding Pricing and Credits
- You need to have Credits to purchase phone numbers and make or receive calls. The number rental and call charges will be deducted from your credits.
