How to create a child asset?

While creating an asset, if you select a Parent Asset (from the existing assets), the asset you're creating will become a child asset.

To create a child asset in Zoho FSM:

  1. Go to the Customers module and select Assets.
  2. Click Create.



  3. Fill in the required details:
    1. Asset Name
    2. Description
    3. Asset Number
    4. Product
    5. Parent Asset → Select the parent asset to establish the parent-child relationship.
    6. GIAI
    7. Ordered Date
    8. Installation Date
    9. Purchased Date
    10. Warranty Expiration
    11. Currency
    12. Exchange Rate
    13. Company
    14. Contact
    15. Address (Enter only if different from the Contact or Company address)
  4. Click Save.


The new asset will now be listed as a child under the selected parent asset.
