What is an Asset in Zoho FSM?

An Asset in Zoho FSM refers to a product or part instance that has been sold to a customer and is now owned or used by the customer.
Assets help businesses track the lifecycle, warranty, service history, and maintenance needs of the products they've sold to their customers.

Example:

  1. Suppose your company sells air conditioners.
  2. You sell 10 AC units to a customer named Darrel, who belongs to ABC Inc.
  3. You can add all the 10 units as Assets in Zoho FSM, linked to the customer Darrel and the Company ABC Inc.
  4. You can then use these Asset records to:
    1. Provide after-sales support (such as repairs or servicing)
    2. Track the warranty status
    3. Schedule maintenance activities
    4. Maintain a history of all services performed on the asset
