What should I do if the Asset is located at a different address than the Contact?
If an Asset is located at a different address than the associated Contact or Company, you can manually enter that location in the Asset address field during creation or later while editing the Asset.
When you create a Work order,
- The Service Address defaults to the Asset’s address (if you've added it). If not, it defaults to the Contact’s address.
- The Billing Address defaults to the Contact’s address.
- However, both addresses are editable — you can:
- Edit the existing address
- Select a different address associated with the Contact or Company.
- Alternatively, create a new address if needed.
If the Asset shares the same location as the Contact/Company, you can leave the Asset address field blank. The system will automatically populate the address from the associated Contact or Company during Work Order creation.
