When creating an Asset, why doesn't the address field show a list of addresses associated with the Contact?
In Zoho FSM, the address field in the Asset creation form does not display a list of addresses associated with the selected Contact or Company, because the Asset address is treated as distinct.
- The asset address is where the Asset is physically located, which may differ from the Contact or Company address.
- If the Asset is located at the same address as the Contact, you can leave the address field blank.
- However, if the Asset is installed at a different location, you must manually enter the address while creating the Asset.
While creating a Work Order, all the addresses linked to the selected Contact, Company, and Asset (if entered) will be available in the address dropdown. You can then choose the appropriate Service Address and Billing Address from those options.
