How to de-duplicate a Company? How to merge Companies?

If duplicate Company records exist in Zoho FSM—due to data import or sync—you can merge them to maintain clean data. Merging lets you combine details from multiple records into a single master Company record.
Steps to Merge Companies:  
  1. Open the Company record that you want to keep as the master record.
  2. From the Edit dropdown, select Merge Company.



  3. In the Add Record field, search for the duplicate Company by name or email.
  4. Select the checkbox next to the record(s) you want to merge.
  5. Click Next.



  6. Choose the field values you want to retain in the master record.
    1. As you make selections, the Preview section will update to reflect the final merged data.
  7. Click Merge to confirm.



  8. Click Merge in the confirmation.

After merging, the master Company record will be updated with the selected values, and the duplicate Company record(s) will be deleted.
