What is the difference between the Estimate template and the Estimate email template in Zoho FSM?
The Estimate Template is the PDF layout and design of the estimate shared with your customer in the estimate email, while the Estimate Email Template defines the email content and format used when sending that estimate.
Estimate Template
- Defines the layout, design, and format of the Estimate PDF that is shared with your customer.
- Controls how information such as services, parts, prices, and terms are displayed in the downloaded or attached PDF file.
Estimate Email Template
- Defines the content and structure of the email message that accompanies the Estimate PDF when you send it to your customer.
- Controls the subject line, email body, and placeholders used to personalise the message (like customer name, estimate number, and total amount).
In short — the Estimate Template is for the PDF’s look, and the Email Template is for the email message.
