What’s the difference between cancelling and terminating a service appointment?
- Cancelling a Service Appointment:
- This action is used before the work begins.
- It indicates that the appointment has been called off in advance, typically due to changes in plan, customer requests, or scheduling conflicts.
- The status of the appointment changes to Cancelled.
- Terminating a Service Appointment:
- This is used after the appointment has started but the service cannot be completed.
- It applies when the technician is onsite but unable to carry out the task (e.g., part missing, equipment failure).
- The status of the appointment becomes Cannot Complete.
