Zoho FSM doesn't require Zoho CRM for its functioning.
Zoho FSM and Zoho CRM are two disparate applications offering vastly different functionalities.
Zoho FSM is a one-stop field service management solution that offers an overarching solution for handling the entire life cycle of processes involved in the management and execution of field services.
Zoho CRM is a system that provides various options to manage the sales and marketing processes and to interact and engage with customers regularly by providing a 360-degree view of customers' interests and preferences.
By integrating these two applications using the extension Zoho FSM for Zoho CRM, you can enable the sales and service teams to work closely and provide an end-to-end solution for managing customer interactions and field service operations.
Consider a business offering HVAC services that uses Zoho CRM to manage sales automation, and customer support. They can use Zoho FSM to handle post-sales activities like providing installation, repair and maintenance services. With this integration, the customer and product data will be synced between the two applications. Requests, Estimates, and Work Orders can be created from the Account and Contact records in Zoho CRM. Along with these Zoho FSM records, they can also see the Service Appointments and Assets associated with them.
