WhatsApp Sandbox

WhatsApp Sandbox

The WhatsApp Sandbox in Zoho FSM provides an environment to test your WhatsApp messaging setup before WhatsApp approves your business number and verifies your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA). Simply put, you can test your WhatsApp messaging setup without enabling Zoho FSM's WhatsApp integration. The Sandbox allows you to simulate real customer conversations using test numbers without sending actual messages or consuming your messaging quota. Once everything works as expected in the Sandbox, you can confidently switch to your live WhatsApp Business Number and start communicating with real customers.
  1. The Sandbox comes with a pre-configured WhatsApp phone number that will be shared across all the opted-in Sandbox users.
  2. The Sandbox enables you to use test numbers to mimic real customer interactions, allowing you to test your setup without transmitting actual messages or altering live data.

Configuring the WhatsApp Sandbox in Zoho FSM

  1. Navigate to Setup > Channels > WhatsApp. Under WhatsApp, select the Sandbox tab and click Configure.

  2. Agree to the WhatsApp Terms of Service.

The channel for WhatsApp Sandbox will be created.

  3. Click Add Test Number.
A test number can be any default WhatsApp phone number of yours, which can be used for testing within the sandbox environment.

  4. Type in the test number and press enter. Click Save.
You can add up to three test numbers, and each must be a valid WhatsApp-enabled phone number. Make sure the numbers are formatted correctly, starting with a '+' followed by the country code (e.g., +919876543210).

The pre-configured Sandbox WhatsApp phone number will be displayed below the Test Numbers text box.

Click the Edit [] icon to modify the test numbers.

Using the WhatsApp Sandbox in Zoho FSM

You can use the Sandbox channel to test incoming and outgoing messages by sending messages to the Sandbox WhatsApp phone number from any of the added test numbers.

Info
Note: A maximum of 1000 messages can be sent from each of those three test numbers for each day.
