Configuring Email Notifications

 
Configuring instant email notifications is a crucial aspect of automated actions in any IoT setup, ensuring real-time alerts, improved monitoring, and automated responses. It keeps users informed about critical events, enabling efficient monitoring of devices and assets within the system.

In Zoho IOT, you can send email notifications to relevant personnel whenever certain conditions are met in the application. The email configuration is a simple process where you need to provide the filter conditions with criteria and specify the recipient details.

This document provides a step by step procedure to configure email notifications in Zoho IOT.

Configuring Email Notification

To configure email notification,
1. Access the Developer Application.
2. Select the Automate tab, then select Actions in the left pane.
3. Ensure the Email Notification tab is selected at the top of the list view. The available configurations are displayed.



4. Click New Email Notification to display the mail notification configuration form.
5. Select the category. This is the feature from which the email action will be triggered.
 

 
6. Select the model/module and provide a name for the email configuration.

 
7. Configure the from, to, and cc email addresses in the From, Email Recipient, and Additional Recipient text boxes.

 
 
8. Provide the subject for the mail and the message content in the respective text boxes.
 

 
Note: Use the # key inside the subject or message boxes to insert managed entity property values.

9. Click Save.
