Disabling a command template
A Command template can be disabled, rendering it unavailable in the instances that are based on the model to which the command template is added. A command template can be disabled by turning off the command status while editing a command.
All Command operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.To disable a command template,
- Access the Developer Application.
- Select Asset or Devices or Location in the left pane based on the model to which you want to import the datapoint template. For this illustration, Device is selected.
- Click the name of the model you want to add the Command Template to. For this illustration, the device model Smart Equipment is considered.
- Select Commands in the left pane. This will open the command templates list view.
- Check the box near the name of the command template you want to disable and click the Edit button that appears. For this illustration, the command template Smart Device ON/OFF is selected.
- Change the status to OFF.
- Click Update.
The command template will now be disabled, and the commands in the instances based on the model will not be accessible.
