Editing a command in the end application

You can modify the parsing key and command status of any Command in a device, asset, or location through the end application.

All Command operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.

To edit a command,
  1. Access the End Application.
  2. Select Devices > Devices in the left pane.You can select Assets to edit a command in an asset or Location to edit a command in a location.



  3. Click the name of the device you want to add the datapoint to. This opens the device's information page. For this illustration, the device: Smart Fan is considered.



  4. Click Actions > Command Configuration. This opens the Command list view.



  5. Check the box next to the Command you want to edit and click Edit. For this illustration, a command: Fan Speed is selected.



  6. Update the parsing key as required. For this illustration, the parsing key is changed to "fan_speed."



  7. Click Update.
The changes will be applied only to the Command of this specific instance.
